Itinerary Details

Day 01Arrive at Leh

On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to Hotel. Lunch at hotel. Complete day for rest to get acclimatize with the high altitude in Leh (Ladakh) which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02Leh

Post breakfast we depart for Sightseeing tour to Spituk monastery which lays some 5 kms south of Leh. You can see the memorabilia, eminent defence personalities with biographies, images and weapons used during Kargil war and belongings of enemy soldiers found at war site. Later we drive back to hotel on time for lunch

Later in the afternoon, guided sightseeing tour visiting Sankar Gompa, located at a distance of approximately 3 km from the town of Leh. Also Leh Palace is one of the most captivating architectural ruins that attract the attention of the tourists .later visit Shanti stupa. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03Leh - Alchi - Leh

After leisurely breakfast, drive to visit 11th century Alchi Choskor, oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh - a UNESCO listed heritage site. While returning to Leh from here, visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) & Hall of Fame. Dinner and Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04LEH Excursion to Matho, Stakna & Stok

Post breakfast we take an excursion to few more interesting monasteries of leh and start with Matho, lies 26 Kms south-east of Leh on the opposite bank of the Indus river.

Stakna is a small monastery, comprising the private apartment, all newly decorated in good Tibetan style, a Du-khang and the rooms of monks and attendants.

After covering above two monasteries we drive back to Leh and visit Stok Palace on the way, Stok lies south south of Leh on the opposite side of the singe Tsangspo River. The castle was built on a hill at the end of village in about the year 1825 by king Tsespal Tondup Namgyal

Day 05Leh (Visit Shey + Thikse + Hemis Monasteries)

After early breakfast full day sightseeing of Shey, Thiksey & Hemis. Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and is where you can see the 36Ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold.

Thicksey : The twelve storied monastery of Thicksey is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Finally visit; Hemis : Farthest away from Leh, this is the wealthiest Monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Red Sect - it is here each summer that plays are held and Ladakhis from all parts of the country will visit Hemis. Evening return to Leh. Meals and overnight at Hotel.

Day 06Drop to Leh Airport

Morning after breakfast, transfer to the airport for taking the flight back home.
